Nice travel domain expiring

There is an interesting non-English domain name expiring and about to be sent to public auction.
Vakanties.com is a good one because “vakanties” is Dutch for “vacations” or “holidays”. Although vakanties.nl would be even better, this keyword is so strong that even as a .com it could be a good investment for development purposes or resale.
Unfortunately for me, I am not the only one who has spotted it 
With more than 24 hours still left to backorder it at NameJet, already 17 people have placed a preorder for it there. And I am sure at least as many have backordered it at competitors SnapNames and Pool as well.
I do plan on participating in the auction. But I predict bidding will soon enter a range that I neither can nor will take part in.
