FAQ
Who owns the domains listed for sale at BIZDomains.com?
All domains listed are owned by Michael Bilde d/b/a BIZDomains.com, except domains that may appear in banner ads or are mentioned in my blog. You can look up the owner of any domain name at Who.is.
Can I make an offer for the domain name I want?
Domains listed with a fixed price are generally not open to negotiation. Names with a “make offer” listing are open to negotiation through Sedo or you can contact me directly with your offer.
How do I choose a good domain name?
Most sought-after domain names are .com, relatively short, easy to remember, catchy or are made up of one or two important keywords that are relevant to your business.
Are there any trademark issues?
None of the domain names listed for sale at BIZDomains.com have had any trademark-related issues whatsoever. But I do suggest you gather any relevant information in advance for peace of mind.
Are second-hand domain names expensive?
Domain names for sale in the aftermarket may seem expensive, and the very best sell for large six or even seven figure sums. But try putting the price into perspective. Often it will just be a fraction of your marketing budget, but a good domain name will help attract customers and ensure better placements in the leading search engines. Besides, it will be yours to keep if only you pay the renewal fee.
Is it safe to buy domains listed at BIZDomains.com?
Yes, it is absolutely safe. The transaction itself is carried out at leading domain name marketplace Sedo. They use an escrow system and only release funds to me after you have received the domain name. If for some reason the transaction does not go through, Sedo will refund the full amount.
How can I pay?
Sedo currently accepts credit cards for payments of up to 500 USD/EURO or 350 GBP. PayPal payments are available for purchases of up to 5,000 USD, but Sedo charges a 3% fee for this. Wire transfers are available for any transaction without any fees.
Can I get an invoice?
If you buy a domain name through Sedo, you can ask for an invoice from within your account there. This is in addition to the contract between seller and buyer that they make.
